We worry with our pronouns but not other parts of speech. Why is that?
We should worry about our verbs.
I will not “fight” for social justice. To “fight” for social justice is to assume that it exists already and that others are clinging to it, keeping us from achieving it. That’s not what’s happening at all.
I will work for social justice; I will construct social justice. I will work to build a better world for all because there is one fundamental truth I accept:
THERE IS NO ENEMY, ANYWHERE.
